The recipes became staples at home and were often shared with family and friends. After being urged by many of these early taste testers to turn their vegan culinary efforts into a business, Steve and Violaine officially founded goûter.

Early on in their adoption of veganism, Steve and Violaine received questions about their new lifestyle choice from curious friends and family. The future business owners found that they enjoyed educating people about an alternative way of eating and living as well as providing others with healthy food options through their homemade vegan snacks. goûter now allows Steve and Violaine to offer these nutritious options to a larger audience.
The timing could not have been more perfect to begin this new business endeavor. In the beginning of the company’s short history, Steve was working at a local juice bar that agreed to carry goûter’s snacks, which customers soon devoured. Demand increased week after week and so did customer suggestions, which Steve and Violaine have used as inspiration for new recipes for the brand.
